The Business Development Representative Program Manager works to take our outside sales teams to the next level. By helping to improve how we engage with prospects on the phone and run product demos, this position plays a major role in helping us achieve our sales goals. 
The Business Development Representative Program Manager is responsible for the ongoing delivery and evaluation of success metrics for the complete training solution for PitchBook's Business Development Representative roles. This means identifying gaps, developing programs and landing those programs for the Business Development Representative roles. Success will be evaluated against the rep's abilities to execute against our Sales strategic priorities. This is a program management role with the responsibility for delivering programs throughout the year. Program Managers will leverage the resources available which include PBLearning instructional design and operational support, along with other PB teams such as Analytics, Marketing and Editorial. Training solutions must meet training needs and be scalable. A successful Program Manager will combine a solid understanding of sales experience and role dynamics with the ability to map role requirements.
Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure employees in the Business Development Representative role are well-equipped with the resources and training on sales, engagement, support, industry, platform, processes, systems and tools necessary to effectively perform in an environment of fast-paced change
  • Set program- and course-level learning objectives for a Business Development Representative role-specific curriculum, share the vision and strategic direction with stakeholders and evaluate the outcomes. Ensure the curriculum created aligns with role objectives and meets established quality standards
  • Leverage training programs from different trainers and work with PBLearning resources to create new ones
  • Evaluate ongoing Business Development Representative role success with stakeholders to make sure training programs are meeting or exceeding expectations
  • Use program management best practices to plan, determine appropriate resources needed, track and manage execution across global delivery of the program
  • Monitor program performance and determine the highest priority impact updates/changes to make while deprioritizing others. Request additional resources as needed
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing and managing learning paths for sales teams (business development roles preferred)
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible training program management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and take broad visions and concepts and develop structured plans, actions and measurable metrics and then execute those plans
  • Proven program management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs or priorities at once
  • Outstanding communication skills including proposal documents to an executive audience
  • Experience consulting with the business to identify and address training gaps
  • Knowledge of training concepts and implementation
  • Knowledge of and experience with gap selling concepts preferred
  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience in Business, Communications, Sales/Client Engagement Training or a related field preferred
  • Excellent in PC/Mac OS skills, Microsoft Office/Google Apps, Microsoft Project or equivalent software
  • Prior experience with Salesforce, Highspot and Outreach preferred
