About the role

We’re looking for a driven, capable and experienced Account Executive to join our Renter Placement team and support the growth of Loftium’s Lease program. You’ll be responsible for placing renters in Loftium homes with a goal of minimizing vacancy by helping matchmake the right renter with the right home as quickly and efficiently as possible. In the process, you’ll also be building a pipeline of qualified renters and working closely with both our property acquisition and onboarding teams to ensure a smooth handoff. This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor at an exciting, early-stage startup and launch a sales career.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with potential renters, explain the value of renting with Loftium, and help renters find a home they love
  • Outbound calling (~100 calls/day) to encourage renters to apply and answer questions, overcome objections
  • Own the full sales cycle: manage all renters from first point-of-contact through move-in handoff
  • Manage your pipeline: follow up several times throughout sales cycle to ensure prospective renters understand and are excited about the Loftium program
  • Nurture deals closely via calls, texts, emails during the placement process
  • Screen and place qualified renters, setup collection of rent and move-in related costs
  • Prepare and execute leases, clearly communicating terms to prospective renters 
  • Capture renter’s details and hand off signed properties to account management team
  • Improve processes: as an early member of the Loftium Team, you will provide key feedback to help build and improve our processes to drive toward a world-class experience.
  • Obsess over quality: keep a close feedback loop with customer operations team to ensure placement of high quality renters. Set proper expectations with renters to ensure smooth hand-offs between teams
  • Track Renter Placement team performance / metrics and work closely with founding team to refine & optimize the Renter Placement strategy
  • Listen to customer feedback and identify opportunities to adapt/improve product offering accordingly

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience with a proven track record of closing deals in a high-volume, high-touch, sales role
  • You have worked at a high-growth start-up before
  • You are highly energetic and personally motivated
  • You love talking to people! This role is heavily phone-based
  • You work well under pressure and are creative & thoughtful in problem-solving
  • You have excellent communication skills, both in-person and written. 
  • You love creating value, solving problems and making customers happy
  • You are hungry to learn, willing to dive into the deep end and not afraid to experiment
  • You are very familiar with long-term and short-term renting, Airbnb and the sharing economy
  • Evenings / weekends availability are required as that’s when renters are home searching!
