Gravitational is a profitable open source software startup with offices in Oakland, Seattle and Toronto. Our mission is to empower developers to run their applications anywhere.

We do this by developing and supporting our infrastructure software solutions, which have thousands of users and over 10,000 stars on Github. ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a team member who can focus on our customers success - helping our customers to use the producs and solve problems using documentation, customer support channels and code bugfixes.

This job involves a mix of customer interactions, support, occasional coding in Go, devops and systems engineering.

This role is good for aspiring systems engineers with enterpreneurial spirit who whish to spend more time working with customers or for folks changing carreers from pure customers support, success, management or other non-tech roles who wish get into systems and software engineering.

This position is flexible and we are interested to learn more about you!

You are interested in software infrastructure and security space, you are excited to work with experienced software development team, and would like to learn more about programming in Go and Linux.

If you are this kind of person, here is what you will be working on:

  • Helping customers to make sure our products solve their problems well using Zendesk, Slack and Community forums.
  • Work with key customers helping them with deployments of our products Gravity and Teleport.
  • Work with engineering to improve our products to make sure they customers needs.
  • Improve documentation based on customers feedback and experiences.
  • Submit code patches to both products.

REQUIREMENTS

You have to have some experience writing server side software for Linux either via coding bootcamps, self-taught or university courses.

You don’t have to know any of things, you should expect to learn them:

  • Programming in Go
  • Kubernetes and containers
  • Cloud computing platforms
  • Linux administration, Linux networking

ABOUT THE LOCATIONS AND BENEFITS

This is an on-site position that is available either in our offices in Seattle or Toronto.
