We provide strategic advisory and business planning, pricing strategy, marketing, content creation and optimization, catalog management, inventory management, and reporting data and software for our diverse set of clients.

We’re one of the most admired Amazon agencies and one of the largest marketers in the world on Amazon. As a critical part of our end-to-end support for our clients looking to grow their Amazon business, we are expanding our team and looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to grow our managed service portfolio including paid media and digital marketing, compliance and other emerging services supporting brands on Amazon, Walmart, Target and Instacart.

The role:

You will engage with and ensure the long-term success of our direct clients, partners, and partner clients as we look to drive aggressive growth. Your role will include identifying leads, prospecting and closing sales opportunities while building strong, consultative relationships, achieve revenue targets and add to our impressive customer list. This is an opportunity to help clients leverage our service portfolio to accelerate their Amazon sales revenue, growing and retaining revenue from existing customers and hunting for new business at the same time supporting Amazon and other emerging platforms.

What you’ll do:

  • Prospect, penetrate, and close net-new business opportunities. Create new relationships with clients. Have a good sales process from identification of account and correct contacts, continued nurturing, demo, and closing of the account for entire suite of services and products offered
  • Work with corporate marketing and product teams to provide detailed feedback and improvement on product offering, lead nurturing and customer acquisition tactics that directly impact sales
  • Deliver a comprehensive understanding of our advertising solutions to help build relevant and effective strategies for our clients and prospects for Amazon, Walmart, Target and Instacart.
  • Understand customer and prospect accounts in order to identify potential needs, propose viable solutions, develop a business case, and gain company support to justify investment
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors 
  • Define win themes, deliver presentations, and drive successful contract negotiations
  • Travel up to ~25% for prospecting (trade shows, etc.) and client events or onsite appointments
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Walmart, Instacart, Target, Chewy and other retailer eCommerce platforms preferred

What you’ve got:

  • Demonstrated success closing deals of all size and scope, including large enterprise-level, thru strong established sales methods, 5-10 years directly related experience required
  • Understanding vendor pain points and opportunities for business improvement in a post-covid world
  • Proven success establishing and managing relationships, from line level up to C-suite, within large and small organizations with many stakeholders, 2-5 years directly related experience required
  • Extensive knowledge of eCommerce marketing and experience selling Amazon eCommerce solutions is a must and other platforms are a plus (Walmart, Target, Instacart, etc.)
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and experience with taking ownership of your role within a business unit
  • Consistent success exceeding established sales quotas
  • Proven ability to drive growth in a highly competitive landscape
  • Proven ability to successfully navigate competitive RFPs (request for proposals)
  • Excellent presence with C-level prospects spanning sales, marketing, operations and finance
  • Excellent communication and presentation creation skills
  • The ability to self-manage and to work autonomously
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills, especially data analysis
  • Experience analyzing complex accounts and the ability to report on a pipeline of reports
  • Experience with Amazon Vendor Central or Seller Central
  • Experience with CRM tools such as HubSpot
