You are an experienced business leader in a high growth and fast paced environment. You have a proven track record of winning Fortune 500 customers in competitive situations, and building long-term strategic relationships with them over years. You have experience in selling to and leading teams that sell to and grow Fortune 500 companies. You have led teams of 50 or more people, and are able to marshall your team to meet extraordinary goals. You can recruit, hire, and coach people in your organization to become incredible salespeople and account managers. You hold your team to high standards and are passionate about people development. You are tech savvy and also work well across an organization, forming strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, including operations, marketing, product, and finance.
You will report to the Chief Revenue Officer and own Convoy’s enterprise business category. This represents a large portion of Convoy’s revenue, and you will be responsible for driving significant and fast growth in this category. You will lead the team to acquire new enterprise customers and exponentially grow revenue from our existing customers - through your team, through developing deep relationships with them personally, and through matching their pain points with Convoy’s offering.
Team growth and management:
You will start by managing a team of 30-40 people, including highly skilled salespeople and account managers. You will coach and manage the team, identify and develop leaders, and also hire additional people to expand the team to 75+ over the next year. You will drive urgency with the team, motivate them to accomplish challenging goals, and also guide their long-term careers.
You are responsible for the customer experience of our enterprise customers. You own ensuring that they love Convoy, and they have a great experience with our product and people. In the context of this area, you will meet frequently face-to-face with customers, understand their needs and pain points, and work closely with leaders and individuals across the company to ensure we’re building the right products, improving the right processes, and building the right team to create a world-class experience for our customers.
- 15+ years of sales and account management leadership experience in the tech industry or transportation/supply chain industry (e.g. managing and building teams, demonstrated success in growing client revenue and customer satisfaction)
- Experience managing teams of 50+ people, including salespeople and account managers.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing and influencing decision-makers and key stakeholders
- Demonstrated excellence in building and developing high-performing account management and sales teams
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to positively impact and influence; superior peer relationship skills
