This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you willjoin our team of facility, equipment engineers, and technicians. This team is chartered with planning and performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and unplanned servicing of facility systems and manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will share responsibilities for maintaining all facilities and equipment, including major systems (HVAC, HVAC controls, sprinkler and fire detection, security, electrical, communication, plumbing) and other major equipment. This team is chartered with planning and performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and unplanned servicing of facility systems and manufacturing equipment. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Maintain our HVAC systems via hands-on attention and subcontracted support. Interfaces with HVAC controls (Pelican, ATS, Tridium Niagara®, ABB, etc.)
  • Act as the general contractor on major facilities projects, performing functions such as soliciting and evaluating bids, reviewing work efforts, and managing schedules.
  • Serve as interface with outside system suppliers, including security, fire suppression, HVAC, etc.
  • Organize shop and facility supplies so that they are easily accessible. Coordinate efforts with shop personnel and others, as needed.
  • Assist with the definition and expansion of Blue Origin facilities as necessary.
  • Coordinate with project leads on mobilization and demobilization of equipment as needed. Coordinate with outside suppliers for the rental or purchase of equipment as needed.
  • Provide general technical and mechanical support on an as-needed basis.
  • Source, order, and confirm receipt of project materials as needed.
  • Help identify and acquire outside resources necessary for project support.
  • Perform maintenance and/or repairs of facilities and equipment in-house or serve as the focal point for contracted efforts, as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • This position requires at least 7-10 years of relevant practical experience in industrial facilities, industrial project managementn,t and or construction management.
  • Specialty Electrician HVAC/R 06A or 06B license desired.
  • EPA 608 certification required.
  • Knowledge of industrial facility infrastructure.
  • Applicants should be familiar with OSHA 10/30 industrial safety standards.
  • This position requires technical and manufacturing skills, but also a creative and flexible attitude.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, excel, project, and power point programs. Experience with Maximo is a plus.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.




Compensation range for on site WA applicants is

$37.82$52.95 USD
