Job Description
As a Product Partnerships Manager at Square, you will be responsible for developing, deploying, and managing partnerships that enrich our products and strengthen our go-to-market motions to ensure our sellers are successful with Square. This includes working closely with cross-functional teams, like Product, Marketing, Legal, Sales, and Engineering, to develop and drive a high-impact product partnerships strategy.
This is a critical role on the Partnerships team. We are looking for an experienced partnerships operator with a track record of leading complex product partnerships end-to-end, strong business, technical, and product acumen. This role requires a strong ability to work effectively cross-functionally with senior internal and external stakeholders, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a desire to drive significant growth of Square's business through product and channel partnerships. This position reports to Square's head of Horizontal Partnerships and will support critical product partnership and GTM initiatives across several product lines within Square.
You Will:
- Collaborate with Product and GTM teams to develop and execute a holistic partner strategy across several Square first party product lines
- Own and execute product partnerships end-to-end, from business development to strategic partner management
- Operate autonomously, being both a proactive executor and strategic thinker
- Be accountable to KPI's and business objectives each quarter
- Become an expert on Square's products, the market landscape, and seller needs
- Lead cross-functional initiatives with internal and external teams
- Advocate for your partners while balancing Square's goals
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in the technology sector, including 3+ years in technology partnerships in a high growth industry. Experience with API integrations and channel partnerships is a plus.
- Proven ability to negotiate, sign, launch, and manage complex and strategic partnerships
- Demonstrated product sense and experience growing and distributing new products
- Highly entrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly-matrixed environment with the ability to thrive under minimal guidance
- Proven track record of working cross-functionally with various teams, managing initiatives at scale, and delivering results
- Experience building and managing relationships with senior business leaders, both internally and externally
- Able to think and communicate creatively, thoughtfully, and with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels
