Seattle tech has been on a roll this month with one major funding after another. Today, AppViewX joins the club, with a fresh $30 million in Series A funding.

Connecticut-based Brighton Park Capital was the sole investor in the funding round, which also marks AppViewX’s first institutional funding to date.

The Seattle-based company was founded in 2008 and builds tools that use automation to solve challenges in information technology. Using the AppViewX dashboard, operators can view and manage networks from a “big picture” scale.

Challenges like application delivery, managing certificate lifecycles and overseeing network security can all be automated through the dashboard. The platform is designed to be “low-code” and easy to use, relying more on visual cues than complex data sets.

Despite the fact that AppViewX is just now dipping its toes into the world of venture capital, the firm has had a range of successes in its 11-year history. Its platform is used by many of the world’s biggest and best financial institutions, healthcare firms and media companies.

In an email to GeekWire, CEO Ryan Windham explained that the company’s latest funding round would be used to “accelerate innovation, expand our global footprint and strengthen our position in the market.”

The team is no doubt feeling the effects of a global increase in demand for network automation technology. Market Watch predicts that the industry will be valued at more than $21 billion by 2024.

In addition to its Seattle headquarters, AppViewX hosts offices in New York City, London and Coimbatore, with more than 300 employees working across these locations.
