Analyzes denial trends, communicates with payers, monitors reimbursement requirements, and collaborates with coding, case management, HIM, and clinical teams to recover reimbursement. Maintains detailed EMR documentation, validates financial outcomes, supports denial prevention, and contributes to training and process improvement.

Responsibilities include answering and routing calls, scheduling clinical disciplines, supporting intake and referrals, and managing insurance cases. The role requires medical-field clerical experience, medical terminology knowledge, organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently while handling multiple priorities.

Investigates health plan denials, corrects and rebills claims, prepares and monitors payer appeals, adjusts appropriate denials, and coordinates resolution across departments. Maintains denial records, identifies recurring denial patterns, and produces quarterly reports. Requires professional billing experience, knowledge of healthcare payers and reimbursement systems, medical coding terminology, problem-solving ability, and ten-key proficiency.
