The role requires strong legal research, writing, organization, communication, and litigation-support skills, along with U.S. citizenship and a seven- or ten-year background investigation.

Supports the U.S. Marshals Service Asset Forfeiture program by reconciling financial databases, reviewing financial statements, ensuring compliance with federal accounting requirements, recommending corrective actions, evaluating audit and certification processes, and preparing draft operational budget requests.
