Lead development and reliability of real-time and batch payment-processing systems across authorization, clearing, settlement, disputes, and card-network integrations. Build scalable, secure, low-latency services using Java, Python, Kotlin, and AWS; improve network peering infrastructure, failover, and capacity. Own initiatives from planning through launch, participate in on-call rotations, reduce technical debt, and drive cross-functional engineering improvements and strategic planning.

Own client, third-party, and enterprise risk assessment programs end to end. Conduct assessments, underwriting, vendor due diligence, control testing, risk scoring, and limit recommendations. Maintain risk registers, rubrics, questionnaires, SOPs, KPIs, and KRIs while preparing materials for banks, auditors, and examiners. Build and own reliable, secure, scalable backend systems for real-time card authorization and fraud prevention. Develop customer-facing features including rules, velocity controls, 3D Secure flows, fraud tooling, and transaction monitoring. Lead projects end-to-end, improve system reliability, participate in on-call rotation, and drive process improvements while solving distributed-systems challenges at scale.

The Senior Software Engineer for the Treasury team will develop backend services for fund management, ensuring system reliability and leading projects in a fast-paced environment.

Build and maintain reliable, secure, scalable backend systems for Lithic’s product platform. Own projects end to end across API key management, reliability, audit logging, search, and API infrastructure. Improve system reliability, reduce technical debt, participate in on-call rotations, and lead team process improvements while collaborating asynchronously across time zones.

Own and improve Lithic's AML transaction monitoring program: maintain SOPs, tune alert logic and agentic/AI tooling, investigate complex suspicious activity and file SARs/UARs, supervise and quality-check reviews, produce KPIs and governance materials, and train/mentor analysts.

Own customer support tickets end-to-end for a card-issuing platform: triage, debug production APIs and authorizer behavior, query Snowflake, check Grafana/Loki, use internal tooling (Retool, Metabase), surface recurring issues to Product/Engineering, maintain SLAs and knowledgebase (Notion), and build/update internal tools.
