The Forward Deployed Engineer collaborates with customer teams to design, prototype, and troubleshoot real-time communication and voice AI applications on the LiveKit platform.

Lead LiveKit’s Product-Led Growth squad across acquisition, onboarding, activation, adoption, expansion, and retention. Own the developer growth journey, identify high-potential accounts, drive platform depth, represent self-serve developers, and establish operating metrics for platform health. Collaborate across product, engineering, design, marketing, analytics, support, and sales while influencing highly autonomous teams through judgment, clarity, and trust.

Build post-training infrastructure for voice and text agents, including training environments, verifiers, synthetic data pipelines, evaluations, and model release gates. Run end-to-end training experiments, select open-weight models, improve tool-using and multi-turn behavior, deploy models to production, and iterate using real-world usage. The role emphasizes Python engineering, reinforcement learning, GPU-based training, data quality, reward design, and production machine learning.

Design, implement, and manage LiveKit's infrastructure, focusing on performance, reliability, and automation while ensuring effective incident management and coordination with vendors.

As a Senior Product Engineer, you'll build user-facing products on the LiveKit platform in TypeScript and Go while engaging with developers and contributing to strategic decisions.

Own the LiveKit Inference product roadmap, decide which models and providers to offer, partner with engineering, optimize hosting and routing for voice AI workloads, grow customer value and consolidate model spend, and learn from customers and data to prioritize features.

The role involves designing and evolving core systems at LiveKit, implementing resilient architectures, and building tools to enhance system reliability and developer speed. Strong distributed systems experience and programming skills are essential.

Design and develop functionalities for the Agents framework, iterate on feedback, and create documentation while working with various programming languages.

Design, implement, and operate low-latency, highly available distributed control, data, and observability systems. Build region-spanning architectures, libraries, protocols, and tooling; diagnose and harden critical paths using metrics, tracing, testing, and real traffic; and shape platform capabilities around identity, scheduling, observability, and distributed state management.

Own and engineer the GTM stack: Salesforce as source of truth and HubSpot as marketing system; build and maintain integrations, data flows to the data platform, observability, change management, and agentic AI workflows that act on GTM signals to automate revenue operations.

Own the LiveKit Telephony product strategy and roadmap, spanning SIP trunking, native phone numbers, carrier integrations, global expansion, reliability, call quality, pricing, packaging, and margins. Partner closely with engineering, enterprise customers, and carriers to improve interoperability, regulatory coverage, and production-scale voice AI experiences. Gather customer and operational insights, prioritize initiatives, and drive a polished developer-facing product in a fast-moving environment.

Own identity and access engineering in Okta, macOS endpoint management in Workspace ONE, Google Workspace and Slack administration, SaaS governance, and IT automation. Build onboarding, deprovisioning, access reporting, device compliance, and audit-evidence workflows. Serve as a technical escalation point for identity, endpoint, access, and internal infrastructure issues while translating security and compliance requirements into durable IT controls.

Own long-term technical relationships for strategic accounts, drive architecture reviews and adoption, coordinate LiveKit teams for implementations and escalations, lead executive reviews and on-site launches, identify expansion signals, and develop TAM playbooks to scale account engagement.

Build and own always-on B2B SaaS demand-generation campaigns across paid, email, content syndication, webinars, retargeting, and ABM. Manage campaign calendars, reporting, lead scoring, routing, and attribution while partnering with sales leadership to support territory and segment growth. Run channel experiments, optimize for pipeline, manage field-event promotion and follow-up, and establish a scalable demand-generation function.

Lead the legal function: own commercial contracting, stand up privacy and data-protection programs, advise Sales/Finance/Product/Engineering, manage corporate governance and equity matters, set IP/open-source and AI governance posture, and manage outside counsel while building playbooks to enable fast business operations.

Own and grow mid-tier GSI and ecosystem partnerships; act as liaison between sales and special projects; build a repeatable partner program; convert partner interest into measurable pipeline and business outcomes.

Build a sales enablement function from scratch at a high-growth technical SaaS. Partner with CRO and sales leaders to create revenue-impacting programs, design ramp and training for technical AEs, produce practical enablement content, and run in-person bootcamps and kickoffs (monthly travel). Ship high-quality, usable enablement resources and operate comfortably with engineering and developer stakeholders.
