Manages state, local, federal, and Alaska-specific tax compliance, including filings, payments, audits, licenses, property taxes, sales taxes, B&O taxes, and K-1 distributions. Researches tax regulations, identifies savings opportunities, maintains tax databases, supports audits, and recommends compliant tax strategies. The role also handles financial reporting, data analysis, regulatory submissions, and coordination with internal stakeholders and authorities.

Serve as the on-site HR leader for a family of companies, providing hands-on HR operations, multi-state compliance, investigations, performance coaching, benefits and leave administration, payroll support, recruiting/onboarding, and safety coordination. Act as a strategic partner to leadership while ensuring audit-ready HR records and consistent application of corporate policies across sites.

Serve as the primary financial lead for a manufacturing plant, owning monthly close, cost accounting, inventory reconciliation, variance analysis, budgeting/forecasting, AP/AR, and ad-hoc financial investigations. Provide actionable financial commentary, maintain GAAP compliance and internal controls, and partner with operations to optimize margins and resolve production variances.
