Lead and scale Skylight's growth by building strategies that leverage SBIR/STTR contract vehicles, coordinate business development, capture, proposals, account management, and marketing alignment. Drive adoption of AI/automation in growth workflows, support bids & proposals, and partner with executives to win federal professional services contracts.

Design, build, and maintain end-to-end, accessible, secure full-stack software for a federal health/civilian agency. Build Section 508-compliant UIs, backend APIs, and services; follow API-first, CI/CD, automated testing, and security best practices; identify and remediate technical debt; mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, performant government software.

Design, build, and maintain backend systems, APIs, and data layers for secure data exchanges supporting a federal agency. Ensure reliability, performance, and federal security compliance. Advocate for CI/CD, automated testing, and good engineering practices. Analyze technical debt, propose improvements, and mentor other engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients.

Lead a cross-functional team to define product vision, roadmap, and backlog for a federal platform serving youth aging out of foster care. Translate research into product strategy, prioritize user-centered MVPs, run team ceremonies, measure impact, collaborate with government partners, and support knowledge transfer and adoption. Provide AI-fluent product guidance while focusing on user needs, safety, and scalability.

Lead end-to-end product design for complex government-facing systems: plan and conduct user research, define scalable interaction flows and information architecture, design accessible UIs, set design standards, mentor other designers, evangelize human-centered design, balance user and business needs in agile teams, and work with clients on sensitive-data systems.

Lead and mentor engineering teams across squads, provide architectural and cloud (AWS/Azure) oversight, standardize CI/CD, IaC, automated testing, and secure DevOps practices, embed compliance (ATO/FedRAMP) into delivery, partner with product/design, and manage people and performance in a federal contracting environment.

Lead and scope generative and evaluative user research for federal health/civilian services, recruit participants (within privacy constraints), synthesize quantitative and qualitative findings into design and policy recommendations, communicate results, mentor researchers, and advocate for user-centered service direction.
