SmithRx Benefits Overview

Oversee quality of pharmacy benefits plan builds and maintenance by developing test plans, daily audits, and metrics. Ensure plan data integrity, identify process improvements, collaborate with engineers for automation, and support business application systems to maintain accurate benefit configurations throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Lead the Tools & Frameworks engineering team to build shared backend libraries, internal tooling, scalable APIs, and schemas. Define roadmap, balance technical and business priorities, drive architectural excellence (including FHIR translation, monorepo decomposition, data federation, event-streaming), mentor engineers, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve developer productivity and platform reliability.

Design and execute complex test plans for benefits configuration, validate advanced logic (prior authorization, accumulators), document defects, liaise with Benefit Operations, and mentor junior testers to ensure accurate claims adjudication and plan design implementations.
