Data Solutions Analyst
The Global Risk Solutions Field Operations Analytics and Enablement team is seeking a Data Solutions Analyst. This role will be part of a team partnering with various business stakeholders in order to provide analytical support and reporting of GRS data. The ideal candidate should be passionate about data and be able to deliver insightful and influential solutions to challenging and ambiguous problems. This role will collaborate with different business partners, program managers and data engineers to define and deliver world class analytics tools and insights to shape the GRS landscape. The role will also act as a liaison between IT and business leaders to understand their requirements and deliver data solutions. Primary job responsibilities include developing new reports, enhancing existing report portfolio, providing data support to the GRS team and documenting the processes. We are looking for a team-member with analytical, technical, and consultative skills.
Responsibilities
- Gathers requirements and consults with stakeholders to determine analytical support
- Create analytical solutions and tools to support internal field operations team
- Communicates analytical findings through data visualizations, reports and presentations to stakeholders and leadership team
- Compiles, cleans, organizes and analyzes complex data to understand business results
- Partner with IT to confirm data integrity, identify data issues and works towards improving data to provide more accurate insights
- Establishes, modifies, documents, and communicates standards of practice around data retrieval, data manipulation, data quality, data reporting and data analytics
- Influences strategy through data and analytics
- Provide ad hoc analytical support to various business partners
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field like computer science, economics, statistics, business, or related discipline
- 2-4 years of prior work experience in creating analytical solutions or reports
- 2+ years of experience with Tableau, Power BI, SQL (Teradata), Excel or equivalent data processing and visualization tools
- Problem solving and critical thinking capabilities
- Ability to work both independently and well in a team environment
- Ability to adapt to quickly changing business environment and requests that come in related to upper-level executive requests and remain organized and meet deadlines
Qualifications
- Strong written and oral communication skills required
- Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline preferred
- Master`s in same or related disciplines strongly preferred
- 2-4 years experience in coding for data management, data warehousing, or other data environments, including, but not limited to, working in NoSQL implementation, ETL, Java, scripting languages (Python, Perl, Shell), and the Hadoop stack
