Senior Analyst, Product Research - PL UW Effectiveness

The Global Retail Markets PL Underwriting Effectiveness team is looking for a new member to play an active role in developing underwriting solutions across the organization. As an Analyst or Senior Analyst on our Personal Lines Underwriting Portfolio team, you will contribute to the development of new underwriting solutions that will enable Liberty to become a best-in-class underwriter.
This role will focus on identifying new underwriting capabilities to inform the long-term strategy for US Personal Lines auto and home underwriting. Strong collaboration across Product and other GRM functions is required to effectively drive initiatives forward. This role will have senior management visibility and will present findings to GRM leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop recommendations for new underwriting opportunities through moderate to high complexity analysis
- Research competitive landscape and use this to inform project analysis and strategic direction
- Identify new use cases for third-party vendor data that improve underwriting effectiveness
- Develop and maintain initiative monitoring for PL UW Effectiveness team
- Collaborate across Personal Lines Underwriting Effectiveness, Product, and other Global Retail Markets functions to develop the strategy and deployment of next-generation underwriting capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field.
- Minimum 3 years relevant work experience, typically 4 years.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS).
- Must have strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills.
