Senior Data Analyst
System1 is looking for a dedicated data analyst to support consumer-facing web properties providing a range of content experiences to users across the U.S. This analyst will be solely responsible for delivering business insights to a small team of stakeholders representing product, advertising, design, and engineering in order to drive user acquisition across varied markets.
As part of the larger analytics team at System1, the entire data organization will benefit from your expertise on overall best practices. Product, engineering and advertising teams will lean on you for data-driven decision-making support. And your insights will have a direct impact on the product and business performance of System1 on a daily basis.
The Role You Will Have
- The Expert: you will be fluent with the data life-cycle at System1, from collection to processing to analytics, serving as the expert on best practices for teams interacting with this infrastructure
- The Detective: you will leverage data to discover and validate new audience opportunities, and identify new ways to measure performance and success based on consumer insights
- The Translator: you will guide business stakeholders in data interpretation, and facilitate collaboration between technical and non-technical teams to aid decision-making
- The Mentor: you will share your expertise with team members on a regular basis to help establish and innovate upon best practices, as well as with the larger data organization
What You Will Bring
- Thorough understanding of big data infrastructures and the tools necessary to operate within them
- Passion for consumer-facing digital products and their audiences, and a dedicated interest in the continued growth of big data analytics in the AdTech space
- 3-5 years of experience providing direct analysis of large amounts of raw data on a daily basis
- Advanced familiarity pulling large data sets using SQL, for visualization in Tableau or other similar platforms
- Comfort working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams to deliver product insights
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or a quantitative field such as mathematics, economics, finance, or statistics
