As a Manager on the UX team, you will be responsible for helping build the team and ensuring we are able to meet our internal customers' needs for UX, Design and Research support. Your leadership will directly affect the overall customer experience for our products. You are experienced in supporting/coaching lead designers as they apply user-centric design skills to deliver highly engaging solutions for our customers. You have experience mentoring junior and senior design and content staff and take pride in ensuring that processes and deliverables are up to the highest quality standards.
Reporting to the Head of Usability and working closely with UX colleagues and the product team, you will use your strong communication and people skills to assess needs, facilitate discussions, and create deliverables as needed to communicate product vision and design strategy. You create visual artifacts to show progress of plans before, after, and across releases to highlight the movement and improvement of the products.
In this role, you will:

  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Usability to develop and promote our product user experience strategy across all EagleView.
  • Lead the UX Strategy and Operations practice to support our business units and mentor/coach Lead Designers.
  • Lead Customer Journey Mapping efforts across the business units.
  • Develop UX operating models and procedures and drive their adoption across the team.
  • Take responsibility for guiding the implementation and maintenance of our Design System.
  • Participate in user research (as needed or appropriate)
  • Work with Product Managers to generate ideas, vision and features based on user research and internal UX ideation.
  • Mentor and coach design staff to increase level of sophistication in design and user interactions and broaden team skills.
  • Become a trusted advisor to product teams and stand in for the Head of Usability to represent the Design perspective and the UX team as needed.
  • Minimum of ten years practicing web/application visual design, interaction design or general UX.
  • Experience managing UX designers and leading team meetings.
  • Experience with budget development, KPI measurement and tracking and other team management activities.
  • Excellent facilitation, white-boarding, presentation & team collaboration skills. (Google SPRINT facilitation or innovation workshop facilitation a plus)
  • Positive attitude, seeks out feedback to improve skills and leadership qualities.
  • Strong experience managing interactive projects with UX disciplines and a high standard for delivery.
  • Extensive experience in translating business requirements into a project goals, managing budgets, coordinating resources and driving timelines and skillsets to effective project completion.
  • Working knowledge of information architecture and usability design for web, mobile, tablet, and smartphone apps.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
  • Must possess a solid working experience with appropriate design tools. (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Balsamiq, Axure)
  • Mobile Web and App design experience.
