As part of deliverying amazing products to customers, we build in-house tools for our technology teams to use. This role will play a key part of creating, optimizing and delivering great tools for internal and external use. EagleView UX Workflow Process Designers / HFEs make the complex simple. They know that deep user task and goal understanding is the basis for efficient design.
The Process Engineer / HFE is responsible for designing best-in class tools that support our imagery and data attributes value stream. This role will lead process mapping, goal and task analysis, KPI identification and analytics instrumentation, leading to the UI design of CAD-like tool sets. In addition, this role will leverage visualization skills in design, prototyping, sketching and storytelling to convey compelling experiences and business value. 
As part of the larger Design and User Experience Team the Process Engineer / HFE will leverage and contribute to the shared Interaction Design Standards, component libraries, and user research insights. They ensure our products convey cohesive experiences while delivering specific customer value-adds for a particular customer segment or industry vertical. This role will support the Operations team to improve efficiency through both the design of software tools and also through process analysis and lean design.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Process Engineer / HFE with enterprise-level experience. You might be designing for navigating, measuring or annotating geo-based imagery or 3D models, job and project management, workflow tools, Machine Learning or Computer Vision, or numerous other interesting interaction models.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Design enterprise-level solutions with complex and nuanced interactions. 
  • Partner with the Product Managers, Technical Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers to define problems & goals, clarify personas, map user flows, prototype interactions, and product design.
  • Give and solicit feedback from cross-disciplinary partners.
  • Lead design efforts in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Perform competitive analysis and user research, including contextual inquiry, product feedback, and data analysis.

 

  • 10+ years of experience with end-to-end Enterprise-level product design
  • Goal-based design
  • Task analysis / GOMS analysis
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Lo-fi & hi-fi prototyping skills
  • Strong research, systems analysis (process and flow mapping), solution modeling (process and interaction modeling, as well as working with mental models), task flow analysis and design skills
  • Have owned full process UX and design, in collaboration with product managers and engineers
  • Have cross-platform design experience (web, android, iOS)
  • Comfortable performing user research and interacting with consumers, even if your experience is not extensive
  • Degree in Human Factors Engineering, Ergonomics, Industrial Engineering or related field preferred.

Nice to Have

  • User research experience, including contextual interview, usability testing, remote feedback, surveys and feedback systems, and data analysis
  • Product experience related to geo-based imagery navigation (panning, zooming, rotating, etc.), 3D model navigation in a touch environment, ESRI, Machine Learning/Computer Vision, and/or drone flight planning
  • CAD/ 3D modeling design tool familiarity (either as user, or designer)
  • Lean, Agile, VFQ training
