OctoML is looking for an Engineering Director to lead and grow our Hardware Enablement teams!The Hardware Enablement team is responsible for supporting a wide range of hardware devices in Apache TVM and Octomizer, including CPUs, GPUs, ML accelerators, edge devices, mobile devices, and more. The team works closely with our customers to add new hardware capabilities to our products, going deep into the specifics of each hardware platform and integrating with their development toolchain.Location: Onsite in Seattle, WA or RemoteAs a Director of Hardware Enablement you will:

• Hire software engineers and grow the Hardware Enablement team
• Support the career development of the team members: provide feedback, performance reviews, and grow new engineering leaders
• Coordinate between the Hardware Enablement, OctoML engineering leadership, product, and business teams to support cross-cutting projects
• Develop and refine processes to ensure high technical standards: design reviews, testing, and process tracking
• Define the long-term roadmap for the Hardware Enablement team

What we look for:

• B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science or related field
• 10+ years of experience building high-performance software solutions with an emphasis on hardware-specific optimization and performance characterization
• 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams

• 3+ years of experience managing engineering managers

• Experience programming in systems languages: C++ or CUDA
• Experience collaborating with product teams to develop and execute strategic initiatives
• Experience driving engineering processes and ownership of a team strategy

• Experience scaling an organization and foster a diverse, inclusive team culture
