In this Role
In this role, you will be a hands-on Manager, leading a team, stewarding our automation initiatives, and rolling up your sleeves to do testing with your team. As a Manager, you will be a key member of the Highspot Engineering Team, guiding the technical direction of our test architecture, process design and adoption, and tool selection. You’ll hire and mentor your team, and engage in inclusive team building. You will collaborate with teams across the company, including Product Management, Implementation teams, and Client Services to ensure that product quality extends beyond software to provide solutions that meet our customers’ business needs. Some of the test tools we use include TestCafe and Postman.
What You'll do
- Steward the development and adoption of automated test frameworks.
- Understand how all elements of the system software ecosystem work together and develop QA processes that fit the overall QA strategy.
- Develop and implement plans for increasing test automation coverage for all products.
- Establish and track product quality metrics.
- Coach software engineers in the development and execution of test automation and manual testing. Attend product planning and pre-release meetings to provide input from the QA perspective.
- Work closely with other Highspot teams on initiatives that require cross-team leadership.
- Represent your team’s status and critical metrics to executive management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a QA Manager or Lead in an agile environment.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience developing test automation and using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Postman, and SoapUi.
- Minimum 5+ years experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
- Strong working knowledge of software development and testing concepts, test planning, risk mitigations, release readiness processes, and a broad range of test methodologies and test tools.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in Web and API testing using Javascript or any other programming language.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects.
