About the Role


We’re looking for a committed, dependable, self-driven, and unabashedly detail-obsessed Senior Quality Assurance Engineer. You will be part of our dynamic and growing QA team. As a Senior QA, you are responsible for performing and managing all testing activities for the Training and Coaching crews, plus additional duties for automation testing. The right candidate is technical, eager to learn about our product, and able to help us quickly get new features to market. 

What You’ll Do

  • Execute manual and automation tests for both web and mobile applications
  • Work with designers, PMs, and developers to understand the requirements and convert them into test cases and strategies.
  • Perform functional and regression testing for complex features.
  • Write new and maintain existing automation scripts to improve testing coverage, automated regression test pass, and feature testing. You will work closely with the developers to build the automation. 
  • Participate in product requirement, design, and architectural meetings to contribute to design, testability, and implementation
  • Review and help troubleshoot customer-reported defects.
  • Implement solutions to provide automated visibility and monitoring of user experience and regressions between releases. 
  • Help tackle cross-team engineering challenges and contribute creative ideas to the engineering teams
  • Find and report defects in the Jira issue tracking system
  • Extensively test new features before release to ensure they meet Highspot’s high quality standards
  • Mentor junior QA engineers.

Your Background

  • B.S. in Computer Science (or a related field), or equivalent industry experience.
  • 6+ years of direct software testing experience.
  • 5+ hands-on experience creating and maintaining test automation suites.
  • Willingness to engage in both manual and automated testing
  • Proficient in at least one programming language
  • Proven track record of building automation tests for large and complex systems
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies, relational databases, test frameworks, CI/CD, and Agile processes.
  • Passionate about troubleshooting failures to identify the root cause
  • Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience in Linux/Unix command-line interface and Git
  • Experience with industry-leading test automation tools such as Selenium, TestCafe, and WebDriver.io
  • Proficient in modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), fundamentals of database design and management, and REST APIs
  • Bonus skills: AWS, SQL, MongoDB

Our HQ is located within walking distance of Pike Place Market and the Seattle Piers. With amazing 360 views of the Puget Sound and Downtown Seattle. The only downside, there are almost too many places to pick for your lunch meetings.
