EagleView is looking at the next generation of spatial products. We already capture some of the highest resolution imagery in the field; we are now building systems to extract accurate and detailed 3D information to provide new insights to our customers.

We are searching for a Specialist Engineer in image processing who can drive this vision forward, integrating new technologies and iterating on the results until they meet our standards. This will require research, interfacing with our codebase for image processing, and keeping a tight connection between product and capture. You will be processing data from millions of images in a cloud environment, so efficiency and robustness is key. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create systems that produce highly accurate georegistration for a wide variety of camera rigs
  • Build and refine dense 3D point clouds across large capture areas
  • Evaluate 3d reconstruction methods for high resolution surface generation
  • Extract contextual information from imagery and GIS sources to increase accuracy
  • Deploy and monitor test suites to validate changes and new techniques
  • 5-8 years experience in image processing software development
  • Strong knowledge of 3D geometry and multiview geometry in computer vision
  • Understanding of mathematical optimization
  • Strong knowledge of C++, Data structures, OOP concepts and its applications
  • Good design sense, ability to extend large codebases cleanly
  • Ability to profile and debug native applications
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn and implement new technologies

Preferred Experience

  • Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Imaging Science, Machine Learning
  • Experience with computer vision, image segmentation, structure from motion
  • First-hand experience with scientific libraries such as Ceres, Eigen, Metis, and Embree
  • Experience working in a cloud environment like AWS
  • Experience with Python, Go
  • Experience creating and working in Docker containers
  • Experience working with geospatial tools and libraries like GlobalMapper, QGIS, and GDAL
