About the Role

Highspot operates globally and is rapidly expanding our international business to meet global demand. We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant who is enthusiastic and excited about accounting to help lead our international expansion efforts across the globe. You are the point of contact for all accounting activities in those countries. Direct international experience is not required however being a strong senior accountant or analyst is required.

The purpose of this position is to support the Senior Director and the Global Accounting department with all related accounting tasks. Provide support and training to our international offices to ensure department goals and objectives are achieved in alignment with Highspot's Mission and Core Values. This includes communication of all accounting projects/proposals and oversight of the monthly accounting close cycle including the review of financial statements and data that is submitted by each country. Ensure transactions related to country expansion projects, fixed assets, leases, AP, cost-plus revenue, payroll and cash are accounted for correctly. 

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for all statutory general ledger functions such as journal entry preparation, account analysis, account reconciliation and ad hoc schedules.
  • Prepare & analyze financial statements including variance analysis, aging schedules and account reconciliations for each foreign set of books.
  • Primary contact for international customers, employees, and vendors on accounting related matters. Work with the local teams on accounting policy & procedures that satisfy US & foreign requirements.
  • Training of foreign and US teammates as needed.
  • Review & account for translation and remeasurement of foreign currencies into other foreign currencies and into USD.
  • Assist with the consolidation of international accounting books.
  • Prepare communications such as memos, presentation charts and process documentation related to our foreign entities.
  • Play a lead role with other departments and external accountants to solve issues, establish policies and improve processes.
  • Flexible job hours in order to support all international contacts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Background

  • BS degree in Accounting / Finance required
  • 5+ years of accounting experience required
  • CPA license preferred
  • Mix of public and private accounting with progressive increases in responsibility preferred
  • International Accounting experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite; VBA programming a plus
  • NetSuite OneWorld experience preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize accordingly in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong logical and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work across global time zones and influence a wide variety of audiences
  • Excellent attention to detail and relentless commitment to follow-through

Location

Our HQ is located within walking distance of Pike Place Market and the Seattle Piers. With amazing 360 views of the Puget Sound and Downtown Seattle. The only downside, there are almost too many places to pick for your lunch meetings.
