Senior Director Learning

Expedia Group’s, Lodging Partner Services (LPS), is looking for a strategic forward-thinking global Senior Director Learning, responsible for driving the overall strategy and execution of learning experiences that drive business impact. The ideal leader will be responsible for innovative L&D approaches that drive transformational change and empower people performance. Using the ability to translate complex business strategies, they will build engaging and effective continuous learning approaches. Leveraging simplified learning experiences, they will ensure learning enables the knowledge and skills required for the LPS jobs of today and tomorrow.

What you’ll do:  

  • Partner closely with the LPS business to ensure the successful execution of our business strategy and goals by developing corresponding learning strategies to enable people performance
  • Design and execute on L&D programs and experiences that ensures employees have the technical skills, functional skills and soft skills required to perform effectively in their roles
  • Use forward-thinking, relevant learning tools and techniques that increase learning agility and unlock the power of people
  • Ensure learning programs represent the scalability, agility and flexibility required to support a high-growth culture
  • Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness through the learning and adoption of new tools and processes
  • Partner closely with the Expedia Group learning ecosystem to collaborate on learning programs that can drive employee engagement, internal mobility and economies of scale
  • Act as a thought-leader by keeping a pulse of critical industry and business trends to influence and implement new learning ideas and best practices
  • Leverage data & analytics to measure the impact of learning
  • Continuously identify gaps and opportunities for increased business results

Who you are:  

  • Undergraduate degree in related field required
  • 12+ years of experience in learning & development with increasing responsibility
  • Familiarity of working within a business unit with direct accountability to customers
  • Fast-paced, innovative technology company expertise combined with a nimble and agile environment
  • Successful experience working with and leading globally dispersed team
