Ad Operations Specialist
This role is best suited to a self-directed, outgoing individual with relevant experience in display advertising and QA testing and will support System1’s publishing team to improve monetization efforts and overall reach. The ideal candidate is interested in and open to learning new skills, able to work in an open environment with little direction or structure, and interested in putting effort toward improving existing practices. Our Ad Ops Specialist will be based in our Bellevue, WA office, but will work frequently with our buyers and Ad Ops teams in our Los Angeles and Atlanta offices. As such, competitive candidates will have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
The Role You Will Have
- Own and manage ad trafficking responsibilities such as new tag generation and QA testing
- Monitor and report on ad server traffic in DoubleClick for Publishers, including troubleshooting and resolution of delivery issues, and blocking and tracking ads according to our partnership expectations
- Use a variety of sell-side platforms to manage ad traffic and activity for our internal and external partners, including but not limited to AppNexus, Index Exchange, and Rubicon
- Debug and test ads using browser developer tools such as Charles, Chrome, and Firefox
- Support the creation and troubleshooting of Private Market Places
What You Will Bring
- Demonstrated attention to detail and quality control through established personal organizational practices is a must
- Proficiency with DoubleClick for Publishers and/or Google Ad Manager is a must
- 1-2 years' experience in Ad Ops, ad trafficking, display advertising and/or QA testing
- An innovative approach to problem solving and insight into how to improve or build out new processes and best practices
- Desire to learn browser development tools such as Charles, Chrome Developer Tools and/or Firefox Developer Tools, if not already proficient
- Desire to learn HTML, Javascript, and prebid.js, if not already proficient
- Flexibility within a fast-paced, quickly changing environment
- Ability to self-manage and work independently as well as with cross-functional and remote teams
- Exceptional communication across remote platforms such as phone, email, or video conference
- Bachelors degree is beneficial but not required
