Email Marketing Manager
The Email Marketing Manager position is a critical new role on System1’s social publishing team. Our business currently drives large scale user acquisition efforts with an engaging trivia experience. This role will be positioned to own and execute our email and push notification strategy as we look to better develop direct, ongoing communication channels with those users. A successful candidate will have extensive experience with email marketing and push notifications - knowing the ins and outs of creating promotional and transactional emails, the current best practices for email delivery, and how to generate effective push notification.
The Role You Will Have
- Develop and execute the email and push notification strategy, including rip marketing and promotional email campaigns
- Evaluate marketing campaigns to understand engagement by target audience and report on effectiveness against relevant marketing goals
- Monitor and implement email best practices, including deliver-ability, customer segmentation, cadence and list management
- Ideate and drive initiatives that both manage and grow our subscriber lists
- Work with marketing, finance, and business intelligence teams to develop and manage a quantitative user LTV framework for post-acquisition user engagement
What You Will Bring
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in email marketing; loyalty programs is a plus
- Proficiency with email marketing platform tools and deep understanding of best practices for email marketing
- Proven track record of creating and executing email campaigns at high velocity; both batch and triggered
- Understanding of the types of email and app messaging that generate engagement and an ability to articulate those qualities
- Exceptional attention to detail an collaborative mindset
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dreamweaver, and email testing tools is a plus
- Experience using web analytics to evaluate effectiveness of email marketing campaigns is a plus
