The Job:


The Commercial Customer Onboarding Specialist at Tango Card plays a vital role in our mission to make rewards easy to send and awesome to receive. As such, the Commercial Customer Onboarding Specialist will ensure new customers have a fun, efficient, and trouble-free experience while launching their rewards program with us. If you love delighting customers, solving complicated problems, setting up customers and colleagues for success, and managing projects in a high-growth environment—this is the role for you.


Reports to: Onboarding Manager

As a Commercial Customer Onboarding Specialist, you’ll:

  • Model a customer-first attitude; deliver exceptional customer experience
  • Own and facilitate the onboarding phase of the customer’s Tango Card journey in full, and make it fun
  • Provide concise, clean training and best practices for the customer
  • Proactively communicate updates and progress with customers and answer any questions or concerns leading up to their launch
  • Coordinate closely with the commercial and customer success teams to ensure clean and confident onboarding handoff
  • Coordinate and advocate cross-departmentally with supply-chain management, product, marketing, sales operations, and engineering to ensure the customer’s successful launch
  • Identify procedural challenges and suggest optimal process changes

To be effective in the Commercial Customer Onboarding Specialist role, you must have:

  • 2+ years prior experience in customer service or similar support position; working in a fast-paced environment is a plus
  • 2+ years of office experience, including data entry, MS office, G Suite, Salesforce, NetSuite, etc.
  • Passion around delivering a superior customer experience
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal: you adjust your communication style based on the audience to which you are presenting
  • Deep critical thinking and detail-oriented strengths
  • Ability to prioritize and triage competing urgent issues
  • Dedication to good team relationships and communication
