System1 is looking for a Director of Product Management to lead the strategy, planning, and execution for our Data Engineering team. We are a fast-growing and profitable company looking to scale our data technology to keep pace with the business. The ideal person is highly motivated, accustomed to a fast-paced environment, and has a strong understanding of evolving business needs. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Product Management and will help to build out a strong, goal-oriented, agile development team.

The Role You Will Have

  • Lead planning, technical requirements, and product development across multiple business lines
  • Deeply understand business requirements and design products to achieve business goals and user needs
  • Manage agile process for multiple simultaneous initiatives
  • Partner with Engineers to identify technical debt and opportunities for efficiency 
  • Be the SME and first contact to troubleshoot and communicate any data issues to stakeholders
  • Own the definition, tracking, and reporting of KPIs for all data products
  • Responsible for execution and delivery of stated team milestones

What You Will Bring

  • 5+ years of product experience in high scale data warehouse, ETL environment with proven track record of developing and executing on data management strategy of internal and external data sets
  • Experience managing and mentoring a team of Product Managers and Engineers
  • Strong technical knowledge with advanced SQL and data systems like Snowflake and Tableau
  • Engineering or computer science education or quantitative background
  • Experience supporting integrated data system designs with real time data processing
  • Excellent written, verbal, and leadership skills

He was able to balance his work at System1 with assignments and studying, and now, he’s implementing what he learned on the job. Currently, he and the data science team are working on an algorithm to optimize System1’s advertising on a new network. Their custom-built machine learning infrastructure makes it easy to deploy new algorithms and track performance.
