Funko is a purveyor of pop culture, making and selling license-focused collectibles. We’re based in Everett, WA where we have a store that delights kids of all ages (kids at heart included). We currently hold hundreds of licenses for franchises ranging from Marvel to Harry Potter, giving us the rights to create tens of thousands of characters—one of the largest portfolios in the pop culture and collectibles industry. We take your favorite characters and turn them into adorable, or sometimes scary, collectible figures. Our most famous line, Pop! Vinyl, has millions of fans around the world. 

  

The Project Manager is responsible for making sure that concepts turn into cool FUNKO VINYL toys on retail shelves. The PM will manage projects from initial conception through our art team and into production in our factories. During this process, the PM will additionally collaborate with our external licensors (Lucas Arts, Marvel, Netflix, are a few examples), factories and sales teams to make sure that products are made with the required specifications. This position ensures key milestones and manufacturing/delivery dates are met.

We’re looking for an experienced star player who is organized, detail oriented and excel at working with teams to get things accomplished.

 

Your Super Powers in Action

  • Owns progress on product timelines for assigned product groups and ensures that set ship dates are met. This includes working with the art team to ensure creative work is done on time and accurately according to licensor approvals and that factory receives, produces and ships items on time
  • Develops and communicates initial production schedule with internal teams, licensors, and factories and advise of any changes in development to line lists or SKU adjustments made to design when they occur.
  • Owns and runs product kick-off meetings
  • Establishes and maintain rapport with Licensors and work to develop line lists and proposed development for mainline, exclusives and unique variants. Ensures that products have approval and are produced according to agreed upon guidelines from licensor
  • Partners with Licensing and Creative team members to introduce new form factors to licensors
  • Facilitates product testing to ensure each item is tested and documented correctly in our licensor websites as needed and in our internal tracking software.
  • Runs daily reviews of projects to ensure ability to meet deadlines and address any possible delays.
  • Partners with Quality team to ensure communication takes place with manufacturer to address issues as they arise.
  • Complete ad-hoc analysis & projects as required

Must-Have Superhero Gadgetry

  • 3+ years of project or product management experience, preferably within a consumer goods organization
  • Must have excellent track record of project ownership and keeping project timelines on schedule and/or communicating to correct teams when deadlines are in danger of being missed
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve business problems quickly and accurately
  • Superior communication skills both verbally and written and with all levels of an organization (including C-suite)
  • Detail oriented – able to understand and look for small and interrelating tasks
  • Outstanding ability to motivate and lead; positively influence co-workers and management
  • Must have exceptional organizational skills
  • Flexibility in fast paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, and Adobe skills a plus
