Design, build, and operate Cloudflare’s globally distributed cache and reverse-proxy data plane. Responsibilities include improving Pingora-based asynchronous systems, cache performance and correctness, purge and Tiered Cache services, APIs, observability, reliability, and production operations. The role owns features end to end, including design, implementation, testing, staged rollouts, incident response, and cross-team collaboration.

Build and maintain high-throughput, low-latency distributed data systems across ingestion, storage, and retrieval. Optimize delivery pipelines, scale analytical database clusters (ClickHouse), develop GraphQL and log delivery solutions, monitor performance with observability tooling, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate cross-functionally and with open-source communities to evolve the data platform.

Build and maintain Cloudflare’s globally distributed Quicksilver key-value store using Go and C. Develop features, improve CPU and memory performance, enhance monitoring and operational tooling, and debug complex, hard-to-reproduce issues across the software stack. Responsibilities include code reviews, testing, deployments, rollbacks, operations, alerting, and on-call support for a system operating across tens of thousands of servers and hundreds of data centers.

Own and develop distributed database systems powering R2, Durable Objects, and Workers KV. Implement features, ensure correctness via review and testing, tune performance, optimize data placement and replication across edge topology, and build observability and tooling to operate storage globally across Cloudflare's network.

Design, build, and operate the Linux-based edge appliance runtime and distributed control plane. Implement secure networking dataplanes (IPsec, MASQUE, eBPF), reliable fleet control and remote lifecycle management, telemetry and diagnostics, and drive product-focused technical leadership from architecture through rollout and incident response.

Lead and grow a team building and operating the Workers runtime at the edge. Own reliability, release safety, architectural evolution, and performance/security improvements for a high-throughput multi-tenant runtime implemented in C++/Rust and WebAssembly. Partner with adjacent teams, hire and mentor engineers, and balance customer-facing features with foundational investments.

Design, build, and operate Cloudflare's distributed storage and database products (R2 Data Catalog, R2 SQL). Own full lifecycle delivery, architect consistency models, optimize storage engine performance, design APIs, and debug large-scale distributed systems using Rust, TypeScript, Go, C++, and Linux/UNIX.
