About The Role

Highspot is hiring a Director of Corporate Business Operations in our Seattle office, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. This highly visible role provides an opportunity to make an impact on the growth of a well funded and growing company. We are looking for someone who will partner with and support our G&A leaders to drive key cross-functional initiatives. You will enjoy a fast-paced environment where you will have chances to influence strategic decisions. What you contribute will have a significant impact on the process design and growth of the business. This is a hands-on position assisting with the continuous improvement of tools, processes, and procedures that allow Highspot to continue to rapidly scale. 

What You'll Do

  • Oversee strategic business initiatives identified by the Chief Financial Officer from development through successful execution.
  • Lead, build, and develop a high performing business operations team that delivers at a high standard and earns the trust of business partners.
  • Support the Finance, Accounting, Legal, Security, IT, Enterprise Applications, and Workplace Strategy executives on various items and initiatives.
  • Oversee Highspot’s Global Workplace Strategy team which has ownership of employee office experience in the 7 countries in which we operate.
  • Anticipate challenges and form solutions to ensure business objectives and the related deadlines are met.
  • Apply continuous improvement and innovation to current processes to drive scalability, effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • Organize and synthesize large amounts of information and data provided by stakeholders.
  • Provide clear, concise, transparent, and informative communication to the team, executives, and a diverse set of partners.
  • Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; forming project team (crew); establishing budget.
  • Summarize and present action plans for complex challenges via project dashboards, workflow charts and diagrams, slide presentations, and financial models.
  • Set a standard for meeting effectiveness by driving agenda setting, allocating time appropriately across topics, providing context to agenda topics, solidifying action items, and drafting post-meeting minutes
  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
  • Develop business analysis artifacts to document both current and desired future state requirements with change management plans as they pertain to specific projects and/or functional areas.
  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
  • Perform other operational duties and ad hoc special projects as required, often in partnership with the Finance, Accounting, HR, Legal, IT, Enterprise Applications, and Workplace Strategy teams.

Your Background

  • 10+ years of business operations management experience in a fast paced global organization.
  • 5+ years of management experience inspiring, developing, and retaining a high-performing team. Experience leading a business operations function is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, MBA preferred.
  • Deep knowledge and expertise in operational processes, data analysis, and problem solving.
  • Strong attention to detail and a ‘Details Matter’ mentality.
  • Proven ability creating, managing, executing, and reporting on project plans.
  • Demonstration of strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure with competing priorities, a strategic mindset, ability to adapt to changing needs of the business, and sound business judgment.
  • Experience thinking strategically, taking initiative, launching new processes, leading by example, and operating efficiently in a complex, global, fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to interact with and influence peers, senior executives, cross-functional stakeholders, and external third parties.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal across all levels of the company.
  • Track record of successful execution on simultaneous complex projects across multiple teams and levels. Experience shifting priorities quickly, while maintaining organization and control.
  • Team-player attitude with ability to dive into the details while also seeing the big picture.
  • Setting and upholding high standards for integrity and delivery on business stakeholder needs.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills (formatting of presentations, creating exhibits, etc.). Skilled in project management software and Excel.

Base salary range: $135,652 - $204,348. Employees may also be eligible for bonuses, stock options, and other forms of compensation.


The above represents total expected compensation for this role. Actual compensation will depend on various job-related factors, including, but not limited to, location, experience, and job qualifications.

Our HQ is located within walking distance of Pike Place Market and the Seattle Piers. With amazing 360 views of the Puget Sound and Downtown Seattle. The only downside, there are almost too many places to pick for your lunch meetings.
