Sales Impact Academy Got $22M, Koidra Raised $4.5M, and More Seattle Tech News

The Seattle tech scene saw some big announcements last week, including funding rounds and new hiring initiatives. Keep reading to find out which companies are growing their teams. This is the Built In Seattle weekly refresh.

Epic Games and Microsoft donated large sums to Ukraine. Microsoft and Epic Games donated more than $100 million to Ukraine from in-game purchases in Fortnite. From March 20 through April 3, Epic Games pledged to donate all proceeds from purchases made in Fortnite and has donated to four organizations supporting Ukraine. The organizations are UNICEF, the UN World Food Programme, Direct Relief and the UN Refugee Agency. [PCGamer]

Sales Impact Academy gained $22M. The e-learning platform for sales and revenue workers gained $22 million co-led by MIT Investment Management Company and HubSpot Ventures. The new capital will be used to create a new curriculum for the platform. The company is also looking to hire talent out of Seattle and recruit people from the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business. [Built In Seattle]

TEAL raised $10.8M. TEAL works with enterprise customers to allow their users to connect to over 2,000 networks. This recent funding round is an extension to the IoT company’s Series A round raised in 2019. The new funding will allow TEAL to double its headcount. Koidra got $4.5M. Koidra uses data and analytics to help farmers and those in the agriculture industry evaluate growing patterns to yield more produce. The company raised $4.5 million in a seed round led by Ospraie Ag Science. Koidra wants to use the funding to eventually automate agriculture spaces and help farmers be more efficient with their crop yields. Koidra is also currently hiring. [Built In Seattle]

Outgo received $3.4M. Outgo launched with $3.4 million from different investors such as Bezos Expeditions and Neo. Outgo wants to make the payment and invoice processing easier for independent truckers in the freight industry. The company is currently looking to add to its team. [Built In Seattle]
