Teams at Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED)

Manage domestic and international payroll cycles, validate payroll inputs, reconcile accounting entries, maintain time and attendance systems, coordinate with payroll providers and vendors, address employee payroll and benefits questions, support audits, ensure legal and policy compliance, and lead payroll process and system improvements. The role also provides support to Human Resources and requires collaboration across remote teams and international PEOs.

Own ACLED’s digital growth and demand-generation programs, including email marketing, automated funnels, webinars, virtual events, product communications, digital campaigns, and sales collateral. Analyze campaign performance, optimize conversion and ROI, and translate conflict data products into compelling messaging. The role collaborates with sales, research, and market-focused leadership to expand audiences, generate pipeline, and convert users, partners, and customers. It is fully remote with approximately 15% global travel.

Collect, code, review, and manage political violence and protest data across Yemen using news and organizational reports. The researcher will record incidents in Excel, ensure data quality and consistency, meet submission deadlines with limited supervision, incorporate feedback, and complete extensive training and evaluation. The role is fully remote, requires 35–40 hours weekly, and involves reviewing conflict-related media, including accounts of violent events.
