Lead full-stack development for Aurora’s mapping systems, owning features from architecture through deployment. Build scalable backend services, geospatial data pipelines, and responsive WebGL web applications using React or Angular. Develop geometric algorithms, improve system reliability, influence technical roadmaps, mentor engineers, review code, and collaborate with operations and cross-functional teams to improve mapping workflows and autonomous fleet support.

Build and maintain an AI-native application security program for autonomous trucking software and infrastructure. Partner with engineering teams on secure design and remediation, investigate vulnerabilities, threat model systems, contribute production code, develop security automation and developer tooling, and integrate preventative controls into the software development lifecycle. Use AI to scale investigations while validating results and explaining technical reasoning.

Design, implement, and harden enterprise security controls across endpoints, identity, networks, and data. Configure security platforms, develop Python and Go automation, maintain macOS, Linux, and Windows security baselines, support network security and vulnerability management, and contribute to SIEM detection pipelines. The role partners with IT and Engineering, delivers scoped security projects, and participates in an on-call rotation.

Lead cross-functional initiatives to mature cloud and enterprise detection infrastructure, including telemetry pipelines, detection-as-code, logging, and scalable coverage. Design and tune detections for cloud, identity, endpoint, SaaS, CI/CD, and service-to-service threats. Conduct threat hunting, support incident response and on-call operations, apply threat intelligence and adversary emulation, mentor SOC engineers, and improve detection capabilities based on incident lessons learned.

Build and operate Aurora’s cloud infrastructure and developer platform. Responsibilities include managing Kubernetes upgrades, developing developer-facing tooling, operating Kubernetes services, improving development velocity, and collaborating across teams to gather requirements and advance platform projects.

Lead hardware/software integration and new vehicle bring-up programs for autonomous trucks. Partner with software, firmware, hardware engineering, product, operations, and industry partners to plan and deliver software for new hardware platforms from conception through on-road deployment. Facilitate executive reviews, manage risks and dependencies, remove execution obstacles, improve bring-up processes, and incorporate operational feedback into product and development improvements.

Leads Aurora’s Detection and Response and Security Operations Center organizations across vehicle, cloud, and enterprise environments. Owns cybersecurity strategy, detection engineering, threat hunting, incident response, vulnerability management, 24x7 monitoring, staffing, metrics, and executive incident communications. Builds and scales teams, oversees security tooling and architecture, drives remediation, and ensures continuous improvement in SOC maturity and operational effectiveness.

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend infrastructure and data-processing pipelines for Aurora’s static and dynamic mapping systems. Build reliable services for storing and serving map data, improve testing and performance, and collaborate with internal and external customers on system designs and features. The role focuses on distributed systems, data versioning, cloud-native technologies, and high-throughput mapping infrastructure supporting autonomous vehicles.

Develops real-time sensor-data algorithms and owns the design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of online calibration software for autonomous vehicles. Collaborates with software, hardware, manufacturing, and operations teams to keep vehicle sensors accurately aligned for safety-critical autonomy functions.

Develop production-grade perception and machine learning systems for autonomous driving, including object tracking, sensor fusion, action and attribute recognition, and semantic understanding. Research deep learning models, analyze failures, optimize large-scale training pipelines, and deploy real-time solutions on Aurora’s Driver platform. The role also involves architectural strategy, software lifecycle ownership, and cross-functional collaboration across simulated and on-road testing.

Lead cybersecurity product strategy and large-scale security programs across Aurora’s software, hardware, and services. Partner with product, engineering, suppliers, and development partners to define security features, manage risks, establish roadmaps, integrate security assurance and governance into product development, and track security KPIs. The role requires influencing cross-functional teams, managing requirements and dependencies, and ensuring products meet cybersecurity standards, particularly in automotive and autonomous vehicle environments.

Research and explore Vision-Language-Action and Vision-Language Model architectures for autonomous driving. Identify model limitations, redesign architectures, translate academic research into scalable production code, optimize models for supercomputing environments, and mentor engineering teams transitioning into this area.

Leads end-to-end cybersecurity architecture for Aurora’s autonomous vehicle platform, including embedded systems, safety-critical ECUs, vehicle hardware, cloud services, and infrastructure. Responsibilities include threat modeling, secure design reviews, cryptographic architecture, supplier security requirements, security roadmaps, governance, and risk mitigation. The role partners with Security, Engineering, Product, suppliers, and Tier 1 partners to integrate defense-in-depth security across the product lifecycle.

Lead global strategic sourcing and procurement for indirect categories including SaaS, enterprise software, professional services, IT, and contingent workforce. Develop sourcing strategies, negotiate complex agreements, manage supplier relationships and risks, drive cost savings, and partner with Engineering, Finance, Legal, IT, and HR stakeholders. Improve procurement processes, compliance, reporting, and technology infrastructure while supporting Aurora’s growth.
