Lead ownership and support of production database systems (MySQL CloudSQL and Spanner). Drive schema change processes, build automated deploy/test pipelines, implement monitoring/alerting, manage backup/recovery and DR, perform production debugging/RCA, and evaluate database features for global scalability and uptime.

Lead improvements in reliability, performance, scalability, capacity, and observability through automation and tooling. Partner with developers to design infrastructure and monitoring, define SLIs/SLOs, conduct load and performance testing, participate in incident response and root cause analysis, and manage monitoring services for production systems.

Design, build, and own end-to-end data systems and pipelines powering payments, fraud response, and reporting. Implement streaming and batch integrations, APIs, and workflow orchestration. Define data correctness with monitoring, alerting, and tests. Create reusable patterns and collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and tradeoffs.
