Leads Ciena’s global government relations and advocacy on national-security, economic-security, telecommunications, cybersecurity, trade, supply-chain, and technology policy. Monitors policy developments, assesses commercial and operational risks, develops company positions, engages governments and regulators, and coordinates cross-functional responses. The role requires translating complex policies into executive recommendations, building coalitions, and influencing legislation and regulations across the United States and international markets.

Manage multiple managed-services delivery projects from quote acceptance through service activation and performance reporting. Coordinate customers, partners, suppliers, sales, product, supply-chain, and technical teams while controlling scope, schedules, costs, resources, risks, and service quality. Serve as the customer escalation point, provide executive communications, monitor incidents and SLAs, coordinate field engineers, and drive customer satisfaction. The role requires extensive ICT project-management experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and willingness to travel.

Leads global sales growth for Ciena’s semiconductor and component portfolio within Cloud and AI markets. Develops sales strategies, business plans, and customer relationships across hyperscalers, data centers, OEMs, ODMs, and ecosystem partners. Drives adoption of electro-optic assemblies, modules, and intellectual property while coordinating with product, engineering, marketing, legal, finance, and services teams. Engages executive stakeholders, exceeds sales targets, manages complex sales processes, and reports on direct and indirect opportunities. Approximately 35% travel is required.
