Operate and navigate a freezer longliner off Washington and Alaska, supervise deck operations and crew, conduct safety drills and required reporting, manage shipyard work and supplies, perform USCG oil transfer procedures, and comply with safety, training, and medical requirements while working long variable shifts in harsh conditions.

Operate, maintain, and repair all vessel engineering systems on a freezer longliner, including propulsion, generators, refrigeration, hydraulics, desalination, and electrical/electronic systems. Ensure USCG compliance, lead preventive maintenance, manage spare parts and budgets, coordinate with port engineer and vendors, document failures/repairs, respond to safety incidents, and participate in drills and safety training.

Assist the Chief Engineer with maintenance and repair of vessel engines, power, hydraulic, electrical, piping, plumbing and refrigeration systems while performing deckhand duties. Operate hoisting equipment, assist with loading/offloading, safety drills, lifeboat station duties, and maintain a clean, safe work environment in harsh maritime conditions.

Work as a deckhand on freezer longliners off WA and AK coasts assisting the Bosun to bring fish aboard, maintain and repair gear, operate hoisting equipment, splice rope, man lifeboat stations, perform safety drills, and follow strict safety and physical standards. Requires sea experience, certifications, passing drug/background checks, and willingness to live and work aboard for extended periods.

Support port engineering and purchasing for commercial fishing vessels: manage procurement, POs, vendor coordination, shipping/freight logistics, warehouse receiving and inventory, property tasks and maintenance coordination, assist vessel and vehicle maintenance, and perform on-call duties during fishing season.

Work aboard longline fishing vessels to convert raw fish into finished product: sort, head and gut, fillet, pack, operate processing machines, label and freeze product, maintain cleanliness and safety, and perform other assigned duties during long, variable shifts at sea.

Manage all galley operations aboard a freezer longliner: plan and prepare nutritious meals, enforce sanitary food handling, manage inventory and ordering (using AMOS D), oversee stowage, monitor budgets, enforce galley rules, participate in safety drills, and work long variable shifts in confined maritime conditions.
