As part of our Education Programs Team, Code.org is looking for a Director to lead the Program Development and Operations Team (PDOT) in developing and executing our national level education program in support of teachers, students, facilitators and our Regional Partner network. The PDOT team works in collaboration with the Outreach Team, Curriculum Team, and Professional Learning Team to expand access to computer science in schools and increase participation by young women and underrepresented youth. Code.org is looking for an experienced educator with computer science experience, curriculum writing experience, and a passion for creating equitable courses that encourage girls and underrepresented groups. Most teachers today have no background in computer science. Join our team to help us develop and revise curriculum that supports them in teaching this foundational subject, and incorporates the best practices we’ve learned from tens of thousands of teachers and millions of students. While each curriculum team member takes ownership of large parts of projects, we share work and tasks across projects to make sure all of our projects are aligned under the same curriculum values and contribute to a cohesive K-12 CS pathway.
