Oversee application security scanning, vulnerability remediation, and security-related release readiness while developing and maintaining full-stack Java web applications. Coordinate with IRS personnel, create remediation milestones, lead technical meetings, troubleshoot environments, review code, perform testing, and document technical solutions. The role requires extensive J2EE development, security tooling, CI/CD, OpenShift, mainframe integration, and vulnerability management experience in a federal environment.

Serve as the senior software development SME while performing full-stack Java web development and O&M activities. Guide developer teams, prioritize work, coordinate technical meetings, resolve issues, optimize processes, analyze requirements, estimate effort, review code, conduct testing, troubleshoot environments, create technical documentation, and implement software updates. The role requires extensive J2EE experience, SPA development, DevOps and CI/CD expertise, and active Public Trust/MBI clearance supporting an IRS Criminal Investigation system.

Modernize legacy enterprise applications for the IRS by migrating to cloud-native architectures: replatforming Java apps, implementing Spring Boot microservices, containerizing on OpenShift/Kubernetes, enabling CI/CD and enterprise integration, and designing technical solutions to support Common API Services.
