Teams at Firefly Aerospace

Lead cloud infrastructure, DevOps, CI/CD, build tooling, release management, testing pipelines, and data infrastructure for aerospace software teams. Develop reproducible workflows spanning firmware, spacecraft software, ground systems, and cloud services. Manage versioned datasets, ML training infrastructure, cloud reliability, security, and cost. Partner with engineering and mission operations teams, resolve complex system issues, contribute to architecture, and mentor engineers. The role may be onsite in Austin or Littleton, or remote with regular travel to Austin.

Manage Firefly’s global trade compliance program, focusing on EAR, ITAR, sanctions, customs, export classifications, licensing, foreign national reviews, deemed export assessments, and Technical Assistance Agreements. Conduct compliance due diligence for partnerships and acquisitions, advise cross-functional teams, improve scalable processes, and resolve ambiguous compliance challenges. The role requires extensive aerospace or defense export compliance experience, strong stakeholder management, regulatory writing skills, and 5–10% domestic travel.

Lead and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, produce GAAP financial statements and disclosures, assist with internal controls (SOX) and technical accounting, support audits, perform ad-hoc analysis, and collaborate with FP&A, operations, and legal.
