Senior Mechanical Engineer responsible for developing high-tech industrial and consumer products and precision test equipment. The role involves CAD design, prototyping, plastic component development, material selection, GD&T, high-volume manufacturing, production tool qualification, assembly processes, fastening, bonding, thermal modeling, and CFD. Strong leadership, communication, technical problem-solving, and ability to manage ambiguity are required.

Supports precision opto-mechanical design and build activities, including CAD modeling of parts and assemblies, drawing release, fixture and tooling design, tolerance analysis, and BOM/PLM upkeep. Designs fixtures for assembly, inspection, and testing while applying GD&T and DFM principles for machining, molding, and sheet metal. Preferred experience includes optical component mounting, kinematic or low-stress mechanisms, optical alignment fixtures, and precision high-tolerance assemblies.

Lead software system architecture for complex robotics products spanning embedded systems, edge computing, robotics middleware, connectivity, cloud services, and fleet platforms. Define requirements, interfaces, performance metrics, testing, security, deployment, and OTA strategies. Partner with clients, technical project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to manage risks, schedules, budgets, and delivery. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance on autonomy, AI, simulation, safety, and long-term serviceability.
