Lead and supervise shipboard construction and re-modernization tasks in shipyards and drydocks. Provide technical, administrative, and operational leadership, manage contractors and staff, develop project plans and reports, liaise with customers and vendors, ensure deliverable quality, and participate in special projects.

Perform shipboard construction and modernization in shipyards/drydocks: read blueprints; fabricate, cut, grind, weld, install, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical and structural systems; operate heavy plate machinery and hand/power tools; perform preventative maintenance and support special projects.

Lead human-centered design and front-end engineering for the NIH Data Lakehouse: conduct user research and testing; create wireframes, prototypes, flows, and accessible interfaces; build scalable React/Next.js/TypeScript UI components; integrate with GraphQL and search services; contribute to design systems, component libraries, and platform-wide front-end best practices.
