Leads technical strategy and product engineering for RF product families from qualification through production scaling. Oversees hardware, firmware, functional test qualification, yield optimization, reliability, contract manufacturer troubleshooting, NPI, RMA, and production issues. Designs experiments, applies statistical analysis to improve products and processes, mentors senior engineers, and drives cross-functional technical alignment. Requires annual travel to Asia for contract manufacturer engagement.

Tests RFID reader firmware through manual and automated testing, sets up real-world RFID test environments, collects machine learning data, documents results, investigates issues, and collaborates with software, hardware, and product teams. Maintains existing automated test scripts and develops new test cases using established patterns. The role requires physical setup work, including lifting up to 20 pounds and using ladders and hand tools.

Own the end-to-end user experience for Impinj’s enterprise software portfolio, from discovery through production handoff. Establish design systems, interaction standards, and foundational design practices while partnering with Product and Engineering leadership on roadmap decisions. Lead user research and usability testing, resolve systemic UX issues, advise executives, and mentor cross-functional teams. The role requires extensive UX/UI experience, strong enterprise product design expertise, and the ability to influence strategy without formal authority.
