Prepare and review federal, Washington, California, and multistate tax returns for individuals and varied entities. Lead extensions, estimated payments, projections, tax research, planning, audits, and client communications. Review staff workpapers, mentor junior employees, maintain compliance documentation, and monitor tax-law changes. The role requires collaboration with managers and partners in a deadline-driven public accounting environment.

Prepare federal tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts; assist with extensions, estimated payments, projections, and Washington B&O and sales/use tax compliance. Conduct basic federal and multistate tax research, respond to IRS and state notices, maintain client workpapers, and use tax software to process returns while collaborating with experienced CPAs.

Supports a tax department through client onboarding, document tracking, tax extension filing, QuickBooks file restoration, financial data reconciliation, reporting, and basic tax data entry. Serves as the primary client contact, coordinates with tax staff, manages deadlines, supports leadership, and maintains accurate confidential records. The role also assists with scheduling, project tracking, process improvement, and preparation of information needed for tax returns.
