The role supports multiple deadline-driven projects in a collaborative Seattle engineering firm environment.

The Assistant Controller leads monthly and annual closes, financial reporting, reconciliations, GAAP compliance, internal controls, audits, tax compliance, and accounting operations. The role maintains general ledger integrity, analyzes financial results, supports budgeting and forecasting, mentors accounting staff, resolves complex accounting issues, and improves processes, systems, automation, and data quality across a multi-entity organization.

Supports mechanical engineers with project design calculations, plan production and review, cost estimating, and site visits. Works collaboratively on multidisciplinary civil, transportation, structural, industrial, and waterfront infrastructure projects. Candidates should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, communicate clearly, demonstrate attention to detail, understand basic stormwater hydrology and hydraulics, and have general SolidWorks knowledge.

Design and develop mechanical systems, machinery, industrial infrastructure, fluid power systems, piping, pumps, and bulk material handling equipment. Perform force, stress, kinematic, dynamic, and finite element analyses; design weldments and machinery components; and produce models, assemblies, and drawings in SolidWorks. Collaborate with project teams and clients, support project engineering and management, and conduct occasional field observations at project sites.

Design and analyze mechanical systems for heavy civil, industrial, waterfront, transportation, and material-handling projects. Responsibilities include machine and weldment design, stress and fatigue analysis, FEA, hydraulic and piping systems, pumps, motors, controls, and project engineering or management. The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients, produce SolidWorks designs and drawings, support field observations, and contribute throughout project development and delivery.

Provide project and operational support for Civil/Structural and Transportation teams including invoicing, contract administration, budget tracking, meeting coordination, document control, subconsultant invoice processing, QA/QC coordination, and close collaboration with Accounting and project managers to ensure timely deliverables and accurate financial management.
