Manage project cost accounting, budgets, subconsultant contracts, client billings, collections, financial reporting, and accounting workflows. Partner with Project Managers, Principals, and corporate accounting to provide financial analysis and support decision-making. Maintain projects and expenses in BST11, coordinate billing activities, improve processes, and mentor project cost accountants across multiple offices.

Manage project accounting and financial administration, including project setup, client billing, sub-consultant payables, cost reporting, accounts receivable, and invoice approvals. Interpret contracts and billing requirements, maintain accurate project records, and provide financial insights to project managers and leadership. The role requires coordination across teams, strong organization, and occasional travel to project sites or client meetings.

Project Accountant supporting civil, structural, and transportation projects through invoicing, contract and change-order administration, budget tracking, subconsultant invoice review, financial reporting, document management, meeting coordination, construction support, and project deliverable management. The role collaborates with accounting teams, project managers, principals, clients, and subconsultants while managing multiple deadlines and administrative priorities.

The Assistant Controller oversees general ledger activity, month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, tax compliance, audits, and internal controls. The role reviews accounting work, provides technical guidance, supports budgeting and forecasting, researches accounting standards, and partners with finance and operational leaders. It also leads process improvements, automation efforts, and compliance activities across KPFF’s multistate and international operations.

Coordinates proposal development, qualifications, award submissions, and marketing materials. Responsibilities include technical writing, editing, proofreading, interpreting RFP requirements, researching background information, coordinating with marketing teams, and maintaining proposal and project databases. The role supports multiple deadline-driven projects in a collaborative Seattle engineering firm environment.

Provide project and operational support for Civil/Structural and Transportation teams including invoicing, contract administration, budget tracking, meeting coordination, document control, subconsultant invoice processing, QA/QC coordination, and close collaboration with Accounting and project managers to ensure timely deliverables and accurate financial management.
