The Open Source Engineer will expand LanceDB's integration with big data systems, manage dataset operations, and enhance open-source community efforts.

Own LanceDB’s product direction by shaping the roadmap with technical leadership, researching users and competitors, gathering continuous user insight, and driving cross-functional prioritization. The role partners closely with engineering as a technically respected peer, defines product changes for AI and data-platform users, uses metrics and experiments to guide decisions, and operates with high ownership in an ambiguous environment.

Own LanceDB’s accounting function, including daily accounting operations, financial close, reporting, financial systems, tax, compliance, and controls. Build scalable accounting infrastructure for growth, fundraising, audits, and international expansion. Partner with executives and cross-functional leaders to provide actionable financial insight. Hire and lead the accounting team, manage outsourced accounting support, and establish processes and systems for a growing technology company.
