Performs behavioral health utilization reviews, makes medical necessity and level-of-care determinations, coordinates care with members and providers, supports discharge planning, and documents activities in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. The role requires handling telephonic provider contacts, applying clinical criteria, maintaining accurate records, and working independently from a fixed home workspace.

Design, build, and maintain scalable Ruby on Rails applications, APIs, databases, integrations, and automated tests. Partner with product, engineering, project management, and business analysis teams to deliver documented requirements and end-to-end features. Monitor application performance, provide production and on-call support, and contribute to emerging technology initiatives. The role supports business-critical behavioral health workflows and systems that improve access to care.

Reviews behavioral health authorization requests and makes medical necessity and level-of-care determinations using clinical judgment and evidence-based criteria.
