Teams at Lyft

Own payroll accounting and month-end close activities across U.S. and North American entities. Prepare payroll journal entries and accruals, reconcile and analyze GL accounts, perform flux analysis, resolve discrepancies, maintain audit-ready records, strengthen controls, and improve recurring processes. Partner with Payroll, FP&A, and Accounting teams while ensuring GAAP compliance, accuracy, and timely close execution.

Provide legal counsel to Lyft product, partnerships, marketing, engineering, and public policy teams. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and technology transactions; advise on product launches, customer-facing terms, marketing initiatives, and partnership integrations. Develop pragmatic legal strategies, manage shifting priorities, and collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Manage Lyft’s global patent portfolio, including invention harvesting, prosecution strategy, filings, continuations, abandonments, and portfolio reporting. Advise engineering and product teams on open source licensing, technical disclosures, confidentiality, and broader IP matters. Support IP diligence for partnerships, M&A, and vendors; train teams; and build scalable IP processes. The role requires patent prosecution expertise, Patent Bar and state bar membership, a technical degree, AI fluency, and strong communication skills.
